What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a service we provide to allow you to store all the files that your website needs to work. All of the text, images, code and the databases are stored within your web hosting account.
Your web hosting account also stores your emails if you have email accounts set up with Orknet.
Will my website be secure?
Yes. We offer a free SSL certificate service with all of our hosting accounts.
Is technical support included in my hosting fee?
No. Your hosting fee only covers the storage you use on our server. Support is charged separately at our hourly rate.
How can I request technical support?
If you require technical support for any matter relating to your website or hosting account you can contact us to get a support job opened to allow us to assist you. Technical support will be charged at our hourly rate.

Can you register my domain name for me?
Yes. We can register your chosen domain name for you, assuming it has not already registered. The domain name will be registered within our domain account, but will have your details associated with it. You will then pay an annual fee to maintain the domain name renewal.
Can I transfer my domain name to Orknet?
Yes. You can transfer your domain name to us for management and billing purposes.
Can you set up a business email address using my domain name?
Yes. We can use your domain name to set up a domain name specific email address, eg. info@mybusinessname.co.uk.
In order to set this up, you will need to have a web hosting account with us.
How many email addresses can I have?
You can have as many email addresses as you want. The mailboxes are all set up on your hosting account and share the same space as your plan provides.
What if I run out of space on my hosting account?
If you run out of space either from having a lot of emails or a lot of large images on your website you can always upgrade to a larger hosting plan.

Alternatively, you can delete non-essential emails or files to free up space.
Will my new website work on mobile phones and tablets?
Yes. All of the websites that we design and develop are fully responsive and mobile friendly.
